Getting there and away… The trip begins in George Town and ends in George Town. The closest airport is Owen Roberts Intl (GCM). Check in on the boat is between 11:30 and 18:00. Guests arriving on Saturday from 11:30 am – 6 pm are greeted at the airport by a Cayman representative who will assist you with your luggage and getting a taxi at the dispatch station. He will be wearing a Cayman Aggressor IV hat and shirt and will have the guests name on a sign. If you are already in Grand Cayman, please make your own way to the Cayman Aggressor IV anytime after 3 pm. The boat docks in downtown George Town at the North Terminal or, weather dependent, may be moored at “Spotts Dock” or dockside on Ann Drive in North Sound Estate. Cayman taxi regulations do not allow the Cayman company to transfer guests to the yacht. Airport transfers are not included in the cost of your charter. At the end of the Cayman Island scuba diving trip, the Captain will assist with organizing transportation to the airport or hotel if you are extending your stay. The boat departs George Town, North Terminal in the morning on the following day. Passengers can arrive up until the last flight Saturday evening.
Your last dives will be on the second to last day in the morning. It is your responsibility to ensure you respect the 24 hour no-fly time after your last dive! The boat docks back in George Town in the afternoon on the second to last day. Check out and disembarkation is around 08:00 on the last day.
On arrival… Anybody participating in a diving activity have to present a medical certificate not older then 12 months (RSTC medical history questionnaire is acceptable). The universal RSTC Medical History Questionnaire is acceptable. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you will need to visit with your local medical professional for an examination and obtain their approval (via their signature) before participating in recreational diving. PLEASE BRING A COMPLETED COPY OF THIS FORM WITH YOU TO THE YACHT.
Visitors must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your period of stay, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket to travel to Belize. It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper documentation to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country.
Dive accident insurance (to include medical evacuation) is mandatory for everyone who dives: it's your responsibility to have adequate cover in place and to bring your certificate as proof. All diving passengers must provide their dive certification card and their logbook: you will be unable to dive unless you can prove you meet the boat's minimum certification level.
Dive computers are mandatory: please bring your own or arrange with us in advance to rent one.
Supplements, government taxes, marine park fees, fuel surcharges, harbor fees, rental equipment and other upgrades are subject to change at very short notice, driven by local conditions, extreme weather, changes to government policy, operator decisions, oil prices etc. Changes are outside The Diver's Log's control and you will need to pay any increases. We will endeavor to let you know about any changes as early as possible. A change in these fees does not give you the right to cancel
Money Matters… The local currency is the Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD).
Climate and weather… Diving is good all year. Cayman has mild air temperatures of 21-27°C/70-80°F year-round and a little more rain during the summer months. The average water temperature is 26-28°C/78-82°F during all months.
Time zone… The time zone is UTC - 05:00
Health… The yachts have a first aid kit on-board, including oxygen and an AED. You may want to bring motion sickness medication if you feel you will need it. We suggest you bring over-the-counter motion sickness medication or consult your doctor about prescription brands, such as the trans-dermal patch or Scopace tablets. Currents and winds may cause moderate movement of the yacht at times. We recommend a complete physical before your trip.
The yachts and their staff are unable to accept any medication brought on-board for safe keeping including those that require refrigeration. Should a guest have a medication requiring temperature control, they will need to travel with a travel cooling case or small storage cooler with several blue ice packets. The crew will be happy to store and recharge the blue ice but are unable to accept possession of or responsibility for the proper care and storage of medication. This should be kept in your stateroom.
