1. What information does The Diver's Log collect?
1.1 We collect information from you when you subscribe for promotional emails, contact customers support or make a reservation.
1.2 When making a reservation or registering on our site, you may be asked to enter your: name, gender, dive experience, email address, phone number and special reservation requests, such as diet preferences and sizes of diving gear rentals.

2. What does The Diver's Log use your information for?
2.1 The information you provide is necessary to make the reservation on your behalf with the liveaboard operator. They need your basic information and in some cases passport information when the tours go cross border into multiple countries.
2.2 The information you provide to our search system also help us recommend you better suited promotions and last minute deals. This way we can better help you find the best liveaboard diving trip.

3. Does LiveAboard.com use cookies?
3.1 Cookies are stored on your computer through your browser, and helps our system recognize you as a user. This way, we can make the system remember what you searched, and display the results when you navigate through the website.
3.2 Cookies are also used to:
- Make the website work technically.
- Understand your preferences for future visits.
- Compile data about site traffic and site interaction, so that we can offer better site experiences in the future
3.3 We may hire a third-party service provider to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. Providers are not allowed to use the information collected on our behalf, except to help us perform and improve our business.
3.4 The Diver's Log statistically analyses the behavior of all users only on our own website. If you receive ads from us on different sites, these ads are based on your history on our website. We do not follow your behavior on third party websites.

4. Is my information safe?
4.1  All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database, only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
4.2 Despite all the measures we take, we cannot guarantee full protection of your personal information and/or use of our sites in situation beyond our control (force majeure), such as hacking attacks.
4.3 Your credit card, Paypal account, or Bank Account Number information will never reach our servers and will be handled by our trusted partners, like PayPal.

5. Will The Diver's Log keep my information private?
5.1 We hereby agree not to sell, trade, or transfer in any sort or form, to outside parties, your personal identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
5.2 We hold the right to release your information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
5.3 If The Diver's Log is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information by giving affected users notice before the release of personal information or becoming subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Will I get emails I don’t want?
6.1 We send regular emails with great diving stories and last minutes deals to our members who signed in for these emails. If at any time you wish to stop receiving these emails, you will be able to unsubscribe from our email list.
